This is part of KAZ's blog. It's a message referring to his condition. I understand the main idea of the content but I'm not so good with Japanese, especially with exact translations. Frequently I'm wrong so if anyone wants to take a shot at translating the following to english go ahead and leave me a comment. This is how I'll learn. Ok, here's my attempt to translate Japanese. Keep your laughter to yourself. I know I suck but I give myself credit for trying, :)

日が長くなってきたね。
Hi ga kunatte kita ne.
-Today is a long time come.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - European researchers said on Monday they discovered a batch of three "super-Earths" orbiting a nearby star, and two other solar systems with small planets as well.

They said their findings, presented at a conference in France, suggest that Earth-like planets may be very common.

"Does every single star harbor planets and, if yes, how many?" asked Michel Mayor of Switzerland's Geneva Observatory. "We may not yet know the answer but we are making huge progress towards it," Mayor said in a statement.

The trio of planets orbit a star slightly less massive than our Sun, 42 light-years away towards the southern Doradus and Pictor constellations. A light-year is the distance light can travel in one year at a speed of 186,000 miles a second, or about 6 trillion miles.

The planets are bigger than Earth -- one is 4.2 times the mass, one is 6.7 times and the third is 9.4 times.

They orbit their star at extremely rapid speeds -- one whizzing around in just four days, compared with Earth's 365 days, one taking 10 days and the slowest taking 20 days.

Mayor and colleagues used the High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher or HARPS, a telescope at La Silla observatory in Chile, to find the planets.

More than 270 so-called exoplanets have been found. Most are giants, resembling Jupiter or Saturn. Smaller planets closer to the size of Earth are far more difficult to spot.

None can be imaged directly at such distances but can be spotted indirectly using radio waves or, in the case of HARPS, spectrographic measurements. As a planet orbits, it makes the star wobble very slightly and this can be measured.

"With the advent of much more precise instruments such as the HARPS spectrograph ... we can now discover smaller planets, with masses between 2 and 10 times the Earth's mass," said Stephane Udry, who also worked on the study.

The team also said they found a planet 7.5 times the mass of Earth orbiting the star HD 181433 in 9.5 days. This star also has a Jupiter-like planet that orbits every three years.

Another solar system has a planet 22 times the mass of Earth, orbiting every four days, and a Saturn-like planet with a 3-year period.

"Clearly these planets are only the tip of the iceberg," said Mayor.

"The analysis of all the stars studied with HARPS shows that about one third of all solar-like stars have either super-Earth or Neptune-like planets with orbital periods shorter than 50 days."

I think Love Addict would be perfect to play at the club. And most people wouldn't freak out by saying, "I can't understand cuz it's Japanese," Cuz it's english! So, I think I gonna look for the right moment, and then ask the DJ to play it at work. I think the girls would like dancing to it too.

Oh, btw, for anyone reading who doesn't know, I started a new job at a night club where women dance topless. It's hot, but it's also pretty safe. We have excellent security with metal detectors and a management staff that stays on their game. Unlike other clubs around here, we're not aloud to drink while we're working. Drug use/selling is NOT tolerated. Neither is fighting. I think I love this job. The only thing that's gonna make me love it more is if I can convince the DJ to play some J-rock. And I think Love Addict would be an excellent first time J-rock song!

A family boarded a flight on Monday in westernmost Canada, and forgot their tot at the Vancouver international airport, media said Tuesday.

The 23-month-old boy's family had just arrived in Canada from the Philippines, but they were forced to repack their overweight bags before catching a connecting flight to Winnipeg, causing them to run late.

In their sprint to the gate, the family became separated.

The boy's father Jun Parreno, told local media he had thought his son was with his wife and the boy's grandparents, who ran ahead. They thought the boy was with his dad.

On the plane, the family members were seated separately and so did not immediately realize they had left the child behind.

Sometime later, a security guard found the boy, who speaks no English, wandering near the departure gate, and Air Canada officials tracked down his shocked parents on the flight.

Because the boy was so young, he was not issued a boarding pass and would have sat on a parent's lap during the flight, so airline personnel did not notice a passenger was missing.

According to the Vancouver Sun, airport security found a Tagalog-speaking Air Canada agent who looked after the child while his father flew 2,300 kilometers (1,400 miles) back to Vancouver to pick him up and then return to Winnipeg to rejoin the immigrant family on their first day in Canada.

The baby was kept in Air Canada's offices and staff found him some toys, said local media.

"Air Canada took good care of him," Parreno told the daily Winnipeg Free Press upon arrival. "I'm grateful.""

KAZ is outa surgery and it sounds like his foot is externally fixated. He described it talking about Hellraiser which had me thinking of pinhead. I want to help KAZ with a bath because with a fractured foot he can't reach his penis, can he? I'll make sure it gets VERY clean. And I'll also make sure it gets exercise because if it doesn't move, he may get bed sores and I wouldn't want that to happen. Oh... and I'd help him with other ADLs (activites of daily living) too. Like eating... I'll feed him strawberries with whipped cream, and uhh... SYRUP... yeah, that's right, syrup bitch...

Ok so I'm going through some mid-life crisis or some shit and I'm not even mid-life yet. So, please forgive my 1980's flashbacks, I can't help it...

Back in the day I had such a huge crush on Ralph Macchio! I made things in shop class with his picture! One thing was this metal plate and it was gorgeous! I wonder if that's stored away somewhere... Even my lockers at school were lined with posters of him! Good lawdy, Ralph was like the Hyde for me back then, vamps!

And for a long time Pat Morita was kinda type-cast for me as the older, wise, maintenance guy with Japanese accent from the Karate Kid movies. But did you know that originally he was a comedian? Dang, you can't tell from looking at his character of Mr Miyagi. Mr Miyagi always so serious 'n shit, vamps! But he also was on Happy Days (old time tv show with Fonzi). And did you also know that despite the fact he was born in the US, he and his family were forced to live on a camp because we were at war with Japan? Our ~~asshole~~ ignorant government decided that all peoples in the US who might be Japanese had to be confined against their will, just incase they were like Japanese spies or some shit. Anyway, during this time Pat Morita was just a young child and became sick with tuberculosis while at the camp.

Yeah, our government has a history of being racist 'n shit but he survived and grew up to teach us all how to wax on and wax off, :D
